I'm driving a 2016 Cascadia Glider mid-roof with a reman 14L pre-egr Series 60 engine that was gone thru in 2016 when the glider was purchased new. The steam trail under the cab from the slobber tube was an interesting find. It's set at 500hp @ 2100rpm. Loaded at 46,000 it falls on it's face under 1,400 rpm. I run lot's of Missouri hills and I'm usually at 1,700rpm to keep up. 13 speed OD, 3.55 rears. cruises 1,500rpm at 73mph.

I'm driving a 2016 Cascadia Glider with a Detroit Series 60 14L reman engine non-egr 500hp @2100 rpm bought with the Glider. I immediately noticed the slobber tube due to steam coming out from under the cab. Running 13 speed o/d, 3.55 rears. turns 1500 at 73mph. With GVWR at 80,000 I run it at 1,700 -1,800 driving in the hills of Missouri. Anything below 1,400 it falls on it's face. Odometer is at 299,000 miles since it was purchased in 2016. We are a private carrier hauling only our own high dollar freight. Fuel mileage is not an issue. I've driven since 1976 with about every engine and I really don't have a favorite. With this combination I run it at whatever rpm gets me up the hills.
