Dayton Freight/Dock to Driver Prog?

    When I was at DF, the forklift cert. was not mandatory for everyone that worked the dock. It depended on which State you lived in, if it was required. I lived in Wisconsin at the time, and never had a forklift cert. all the years I worked there. If I worked the dock at a terminal in a State that required a cert., I still could work that dock because my home State did not require one.
    In the years since, those laws may have changed.

    I've never had a forklift certification. I don't even know how to obtain one.

    Yeah, being old school P&D drivers, we were forklift drivers, before forklift drivers were cool ?
