Truckers speed limit cause accident

Oklahoma has stupid crazy laws anyway. I once got rear ended waiting to make a left hand turn in a 4 wheeler. This guy came barreling down a hill in a 30mph speed zone and I looked in my mirror at the last minute. I got the words oh SH, out of my mouth before he hit us. Police told me it was my fault. How? Because apparently in the State of Oklahoma it is illegal to make a left hand turn off of any roadway unless there is a space for you to get out of the way of traffic. How frikkin stupid is that? So lets get it straight. You need to make a left into your drive way? Ah ah ah. You better go circle the block and find someway to make that happen without making a left hand turn because if you dont, and there is an accident, they blame you for making a left. Imagine your states laws, and smile at how good they are. In oklahoma its all backwards. They always blame the person who you would most logically find not be at fault. Of course that particular situation, the person who rear ended the car I was driving was a city council mans son.
