Amen brother, here i thought w/s was the cake with ice cream to and I also am getting confused as you are LOL.. to be reading all this back and forth stuff........BUT gotta admit it's interesting and s2b has alot of valid points, adn I dont think my school is going to teasch us the 6% shifting doin 65 so now I am wondering if I will make it through the orientation, definetly sned s the questions in.

 

First of all, I just want to say Hello to the lovely recruiter S2B.
Man I've been away for awhile; but I have some good news.
I have a newborn on the way through a family member, this should be fun.

Only like with a 2 week notice the poor child was going to leave it at the hospital.

Back to business, My main concern was W/S and the way they do their drivers for such a small company. Everyone on here agrees that the way it went down that it was horrible on watkins behave but there is still naysers after that. I guess U just can't talk about ones passion I guess. Notice when I was talking about the company I never talk about no one else exp. but mine. Thats called keeping the focus on u. I never can and will never tell u how it is to live with moms or in a mobile trailer if u can survive with W/S pay and miles thats not my story. I can tell u that its very hard living with family on the NE corridor with that.

I use to thank god every week for that shortline position.

Whoever reads this thread do not be dettered from watkins at all for your starter company go their and get your own story.

Mind u sbs story nor reneck story will be yours; have fun out there be safe and like me u can sip mojitos in your den watching footbal while sb, wingding, redneck, minus, and million man driver, or held up by rush hour traffic, railroad crossings on the highway trying to move for a buck. just saying.

They love the road, and I love the road but I love what my money pays for to.
and last but not least; doing ltl eastcoast will and can be a good resume booster.

Sliding tandems is easy trust me.

Just make sure u don't have an trailer that starts with WTZ for that will make u pull ur hair out; let alone yyour shoulder.
