    Well well well,

I can shine some light on your situation. If you want to get an IL CDL. You have to take all the test in IL. You can thank Ryan for that with his scandal. If you want more information call this # 217-785-3013. Good Luck

I have been lurking here for the past several weeks, just reading and learning. Been doing lots of both. I am also an Illinois resident who wishes to go on the road. My wife and I would like to team but we have run into the same problem as Amacheca. Is anyone aware of any training companys who will allow us to train and then use one of their trucks for us to take the road test in.
Before the economy tanked, we were pre-hired to a company that would allow us to use one of their trucks. They suspended all training right before we were to leave for school. So, for the past year we have been biding our time and waiting for the economy to level off before trying again.
Any help would be appreciated. Also, thanks to Amacheca for starting this thread.

Would a school do this? Such as...
    http://www.eagletruckdrivingschool.com
    located in Rockford?

Or I know Millis has a school in Milwaukee and then once your out on the road for a few weeks, they schedule your road test and you use the truck you were training it. Teams? - I dont know if Millis does that though.

Roehl also comes to mind in Marshfield WI.

    Just some thoughts...

Thanks for the recomendations Hanadarko. I talked to Roehl last year and they said they didn't get involved with training Ill. residents for the reasons I cited. I have not checked into Millis and I will have to do that. We are looking to do company training as we don't have the ready $$$ at hand for school.
I know that times are tough out there. We are planning to be patient for the time being and see what happens.

    Stay safe out there. Jim
