Regular pickup truck with bed is limited to 65 feet.
Pull off the bed and put a fifth wheel you are then a tractor and not a truck and have a 75 foot limit.Last edited: Jun 19, 2021

Thank you

Length limit doesn't matter (in most (all?) states anyway) for CDL. It's all based on weight ratings for both the truck and trailer.

Tnx

The weight limit is what controls the level of license not the lenght.
Roger McG Thanks this. -
Anything over 26,000lbs GVW requires a CDL. Length doesn't matter. I've seen guys pulling 50' poker run boats behind their crew cab long bed pickup trucks and they don't need a CDL.
