For what its worth i run only SE regional and been doing great pulling a reefer with the current rates. Averaging 4-6 dollars a mile loaded and not many loads over 40k.

I truly do miss the flatbed routine and load/unload times. The lumpers and large DCs are starting to get to me.

I’ve considered going back to flatbed but when I compare the rates in the SE its not even close to what reefer is paying.

    Whats a guy to do.

Yeah but that 300 mile regional load paying $1500 doesn't look that hot when you factor 5 hours for loading, then your 3am appointment takes 9 hours for unloading at grocery DC, another 2 hours waiting for lumpers to get you your bills all for you to finish off then going in line for a couple hours for a wash out lol.
