My experience. Pete factory tagged weight is dry. No fluids. I've never seen a double frame pete, unless you have a C10 cat weigh 20k.

no, its not 3,000 lbs lighter than your trailer
-
Weigh the truck and trailer, drop trailer and weigh the tractor. then it’s just math.
staceydude and MTN Boomer Thank this. -
A 45ft heavy framed steel trailer with a wood floor may be close to 2 or 3000lbs more wt. than a plain alum. framed flat but coil packages wt. more plus a heaver steel frame (combo) type instead of alum. frame can change wt.

My new CK90 Reitnour is advertised at 8300, haven't weighed it though.
I'm pulling a utility combination right now, and it's actually pretty light.
Full of fuel with the Utility I'm a tad under 28kshooter19802003 Thanks this. -
Its a double frame pete with a c15. It was used in the Kentucky coal mining. Had sticker on it to haul 90000 to 100000lb. Ive had piterbuilt pull engine by vin and they have it as a C15 double frame. Also has walking arms for rear-end suspension.77fib77 Thanks this.

I had aW/star that was as heavy as your truck and a bought a 44ft all alum. raven trailer and I was able to load 47 to almost 48,000 lbs loads, but some loads after I told broker I had 48ft trailer and got to load place had to stack last 2 on top of center ones but never was sent away from any shipper?

My 42' steel aluminum combo with all equipment and hide kit and tarp w/ 22.5lp on aluminum wheels is 10,600lbs.
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Those old steel and wood trailers can be #### heavy. This 45’x98” with a plane Jane freightliner day cab weighed 33,500. That Clark trailer was heavy and swayed like crazy when bellied with a load of pallets you could see it bow in the curves on the highway. Never did break it and we had 70k on it a few times.
jamespmack, D.Tibbitt and beastr123 Thank this.
