I'm looking for a new company within the GTA. I have applied to Martin Brower already, waiting for a response. But until then I am looking for options. I have roughly 2 years and 4 months verifiable experience.

My company recently had two major accidents (rollover and fatal accident), so they think the solution is to install driver facing cameras. That's a no es bueno for me. That's my limit.

Cameras are coming EVERYWHERE eventually. Insurance companies will demand it, companies will cave, because the drivers comfort and happiness mean nothing. Deal or go will be the response.
I already told them my truck comes for sale and I retire that day, so far they are not making noises, but it's coming. Know that.

The day it becomes mandatory everywhere I'll just stop driving. But you are right, it's inevitable. A few drivers ram a line of stopped cars and spoil it for all of us. I did drive for a trucking company for 6 months that had driver cams, but they paid a premium and governed their trucks at 112-116/kmh so I didn't mind the trade off.

Still amazes me how many people put up with blatantly illegal privacy invasion.

I'll put up with them for the right price to be honest. But some company like bison that has that guardian system where you can't even look down at anything, there is no amount of money I'll take for that nonsense. I have no problem installing my own driver can that only I can access.

We're getting forward facing camera's, no audio, no driver facing. That's the MPI requirement, driver facing only lowers the deductible, but MPI even admits its illegal lol. Anyway, you looking to do City/Regional/US Shorthaul or full on OTR? My outfit just expanded the terminal in Toronto, 4 full time city guys, dock foreman, its really picking up out there.
