That is a nice story. I don't have a nice one. I have a dog that actually killed two rabbits this year. She chopped the head off and brought it home. I thought it was a ball she brought from outside. She kills little crickets getting to my backyard. Maybe, it's just my luck!
The rain storm we had ruined the bird nest. It was empty when I found it. Who knows. Maybe my dog ate the little ones. She killed a baby opossum this year as well. That is what you get when you have a bird feeder. It attracts small crickets to it.
####ttt, it sounds like a prophecy or something. And now, I have to put $9,000 into the truck and trailer. Everything was running good for a few months. Maybe these were signs. So weird when I think about it now.

Holy crap dude just jump in. Nobody has it as bad as you.
Woe is me, and all.
If you can't roll with the changes, you'll never succeed in any business.
The only reason your rebound has been slow, is because you allowed it.
Every time I hear someone say they did something because it was "safe", it flat out amazes me they have a spouse or children.
Gotta be tough living life without a little adventure, and your desire for "safe" is the reason you'll fail.Midwest Trucker and Beaver9 Thank this. -
BTW:
I am sorry for the distraction of this thread but since the OP mentioned the rabbits then I could not resist my reflection, especially after a nice cold drink.Speed_Drums and Beaver9 Thank this. -

It was bananas, and they paid almost double , but they were loaded in 8x8x40 reefer containers made in the 50s and you couldn’t find a back haul that would fit inside .
Paid $1.25 mile to the truck , in 1995.
Diesel was under a buck a gallon .Speed_Drums Thanks this. -
Still no answer on why you won't take a load over 40k.....you've been given very sound advice and don't seem to want to hear any of it. This is all on you bud. No reason for anyone to be struggling in this atmosphere unless your truck is killing your pocket with downtime.....and then that could be on you also.

I was grossing 79,990 most trips. I had to be careful where I tanked up.
Couldn’t go over the weigh stations with more than half a tank.
We did have a $200 a year easy to get blanket permit for being over axle , if your load originated outside the US.
That permit didn’t cover being over 80k gross just over 34 k tandems since the trailer tandems were fixed and not slidableBeaver9, Speed_Drums and Pa_Polarbear Thank this. -
I have weight stations on my regular lanes.
