Nice . some places pay big money for short haul tarped loads ive found. Got one last week. Was a round trip load. Customer ordered wrong product so i brought them new #### and took back the old stuff. 150 miles round trip. 2000 dollars. Was able to get that done and still have time for another load that afternoon. Ended up being a really good week

What he had done (and he was pretty excited about) was installed hooks behind his rub rail with rivets. Left room for straps between the hooks and spools. Looked clean. I thought it would interfere with chains, but maybe he never chains. Plus I didn't want to rain on his parade.

LOL. I already had everything staged on deck. I knew what it was before backing in. Just a simple load. 2 trucks that pulled out before me had similar loads. They were still figuring it out when I left Nice natural bulkhead so it made life easy

Probably too late now, but always check those straps for the first few hours a few times. A few work loose, and it can get ugly quick

Thanks, yeah I checked them about 1 1/2 hour in and then a few times after that. Pulled one click on several and two clicks on one or two. By third check they seemed to have settled in pretty good. Two stopper in IN Friday morning then gone before the crazys get started. Should be sipping a beer in the pool with the family by 1300. Done till Tuesday morning. Color me lazy!

The rope hooks on my trailers are far enough back that they don’t interfere with chains.
