    In other fun news.

Went to the mailbox yesterday and had a couple items from ODOT in it. I could tell one was the paperwork for the quarterly IFTA, but the other one I could see the evil pink paper they send nastygrams on.

Was a notice of upcoming suspension because we'd forgot to file the monthly mileage tax report for May. Whoops. Wife gets online to knock that out real quick, easy peasy since I hadn't run any miles in May. She gets a notice on the website saying "Our records indicate that you did operate in May, so if you submit a zero mile report we're going to come to your house and kick your pets". Had a link to see "Weigh Station Records" so she clicks it and sure as #### there's a record with our company name, MC number, and License plate on it for the Woodburn, OR POE.

Hmm. I tell her some mouth breather probably fat fingered their keyboard when a truck with a similar plate number rolled through.

She calls ODOT, and yep. They look it up and bring up the photo of the plate of the truck in question. It was one letter off from mine. "Looks like someone made an input mistake, we'll fix it!"

I don't hear enough complaints for Oregon's mileage tax. I've had to get the permits, something like .21$ a mile? Or is it cheaper if you have a plate? As much as I love the country out there, I avoid most coastal states due to their love affair with regulations and taxation.

I'm not a fan of it. I don't think it's any cheaper if you have a plate as they seem to want to extort everyone equally. They did change the need to buy the stupid Weight and Tax Receipt Permit to just doing a monthly/quarterly online filing. But, at least if I'm a good boy for a year I can get the "Trusted Carrier" plate and get my Oregon bond waived!

Forgot about that one. The little restaurant next door has good groceries if and when you get tired of Popeyes.

Me: I hate this 6' parachute tarp. It rips too easy and balloons too much. I'm replacing it with a good 18oz 6' drop.

    3 months later...

Also Me: I think I'll get a new 8' parachute tarp cause this 6' is heavy.

Next project question. Is there an air inflation locking chuck for trucks? I know about the little ones but I don't see how I could put that on the inside tire. Especially when the stem is near the mudflap bracket and there's 8ft of snow on the ground and I can't reach it. I found out swapping the original solid caps for ...whatever you call the secondary valve stem thing that's required...

My bosses tarps were on this trailer when I first brought it out from sitting since covid. Bungee were dry rotted and smoke tarp too. 8ft drop 'tarps' were more like blasting mats. I'm not tough enough for that. But not adult enough for 14oz apparently. We'll not talk about that:(... the Cordura/14 Oz is my own purchase so I can do what I want to it. I can pick it up and carry it anywhere I want and feel like a real badazz :cool::cool:

I paid for the Pilot/J wifi 1 year and thought the same. Currently I have 2 straight talk phones. 1 with my real # and personal apps etc. Unlimited data 55$.The other is for my ELD, blue ink scale, Garmin GPS traffic/weather link, various broker Spyware, audio book & podcast apps. Plus more data (? Amt) for 45$.
I can Hotspot from either one for my laptop. I never run out but I don't stream stuff often. Unless I'm overnight near Lowes/ Home depot then I binge Hulu...
The 2nd phones included data was much much less than paying tablet data by the gig... YMMV

I feel your pain. We've been hunting for a seat for a while. Seems like all these manufacturers think making a seat move 10 gazillion different ways makes up for not putting comfortable foam in them. The seats they were making 20 yrs ago just had a few basic adjustments and were much better than anything made now.
