New COVID Delta variant doesn't infect vaccinated people.

Here is the trouble with 2020 COVID-19 death numbers. First, anyone who had COVID-19 and would have died from the other condition. Was still treated like a COVID-19 death. My fiance's mom is a perfect example. She was on hospice care and died. Second, the hospitals were sending nursing home patients back to the nursing home infected for care. They were not set up to handle that. So you had mass exposure and infection of the elderly and frail. Third, the country was in lockdown. So "other" causes of death. Such as traffic accidents. Are going to be much lower than normal.

I bet if you compare it to 2019 it'll be much lower on the totem pole.

 

I think it is actually 0.08 percent pass away. Way way small chance of Death. Plus there are drugs you can take that will defeat the covid if you are afraid of getting a vaccine. So live your life people, its all good. Don't worry be happy like in Jamaica.

 

I totally agree. My Mom passed away June of last year. We were watching for them to add Covid 19.... morons. They were paying the hospitals more for listing deaths as COVID 19.

Anecdotal at best. If she fell out of her hospice bed and died from the fall, she'd be listed under the #4 cause of death, slips and falls.

Actually the nursing homes were set up to handle that. Or at least, they were required by law to have the fully qualified staff and fully equipped isolation facilities. Laws are different in different states. And studies showed that most of the covid came in via visitors and staff, not patients.

Actually covid would still rank #3 in 2019 numbers, and by a huge margin. Like an order of msgnitude.

 

What make's it so deadly is not the chance of death once infected, but rather the sky high infection rate, combined with the extra long window of time before symptoms manifest.

 

Fake news. No they weren't. Pay was the same as any other upper respiratory infection. Plus hospitals that treated covid patients had to transfer out all their non-covid patients, leaving entire wings empty. Major loss of revenue.

 

Not nearly as much as Vladimir pays to spam science-hating disinformation.
