I've said it before on here but there's a handful of scania tri axle dumps running around jersey. They just keep on going

    yes, this type of chassis.
so daf dont make them factory? why that far, there are several companies in NL that could make this with ease.

whoever extended chassis was not even able to match color of chassis extension

I came up with better idea to explain it.

For the same money you can have 8 trucks times 1700 euro, or 9 trucks times 1500 euro.

If profit from 8 trucks (which cost 1700 euro) is let's say 2000 euro a month = 16000 euro/month in total.

Cheaper trucks are 150 euros more expensive to run - they only bring 1850 euros/month of profit, but you can have 9 of them for same money. 1850*9=16650 euro / month in total.

You don't buy 8 but 9 trucks at once - so you get better price, and keep in mind that after 3-5 years you don't sell 8, but 9 trucks ..

this can be one way. but if company wants new vehicles to attract better drivers which will prevent damage etc, use it as self promotion for latest technologies.
very early new vehicles can be problematic in terms of failures, this is good reason to opt for old one.
new version resale value will be way higher than initial % increase.

It's mind-boggling that DAF doesn't offer the most useful 8x4 configuration, but they offer the 8x2 FAK chassi which is maybe the worst 4 axle configuration.

    that makes far more sense.
so this truck is around 19t by them.
that is very heavy. in CH you can get 10x4 starting at 15t, most weight like 17t with strong bodies for rocks.
