Hazmat endorsement and twic now gives you precheck status

Aw hell yeah, I flew out of Detroit a couple months back and it was a nightmare.
Got pulled for additional scrutiny, felt molested. Opening my carry on and dumping the contents on a table.

yeah, I can haul 4,000 gallons of liquid asphyxiation that will freeze you to death in a minute, but god help us all, I accidentally brought nail clippers to an airport.

The two things I like about the twic app are

1) Have you ever been in a mental institution?

2) It's not a run it up the flagpole and see if someone shoots at it.

You agree to by having them do the background, if they find something, they notify your employer.

Most places if you've falsified your history, it's gonna leave a mark when they get the phone call.

I didn’t even know about it till I saw this.

Will definitely be taking advantage of it in the future.

This was the first time I’ve flown in 7 years, and it was wildly invasive. So, ya know, looking to avoid that.
