Glad to see that your experience with Big G has been good. My husband tried working for them for a while with me as a ride a long, but for whatever reason his driver manager had some sort of problem with us. Even though i witnessed all of their interactions and saw no reason for the driver managers attitude/behavior. The weekend dispatchers were pretty decent, but the driver manager killed the job for us. He never got us home on time, and it was always just long enough for a 34 hour reset. Not to mention we had to deliver other drivers loads several times but when we tried telling them we were out of hours and needed someone to deliver ours, they told us yeah sorry but we really want drivers delivering their own loads. They loved scheduling everything way too tight, and then get upset when you end up having to use personal conveyance just to get to a safe parking spot. They didn’t seem to account for load and unload times, or delays due to accidents/construction/heavy traffic… We stayed out longer than actually necessary which was about 2-3 months because we were hoping to get 4 days off to celebrate our wedding anniversary and spend some time with friends/family, as per the companies promise to drivers (if you stay out a week or two, you can have 4 days off). Driver manager knew of and approved our days off requested, and still ended up putting us on loads that would guarantee that we only got a 34 again. That was the last straw for us, so we left and haven’t looked back.

2 to 3 months in hopes of getting 4 days off? That’s freaking hilarious. If I were out for 2 months , they wouldn’t see my ### for AT LEAST 2 weeks. Lol
These OTR outfits kill me. I don’t know what’s more pathetic, the companies or the drivers that put up with their nonsense. Lolhotrod1653, smokey12, ncmickey and 9 others Thank this. -
If I was out 2-3 months, no one would need to get me home for 4 days of hometime, I’d quit.

5 days out is enough for me. Glad to hear you made it out of Commifornia JB! Hope the truck is behaving.
ncmickey, Vic Firth, Frank Speak and 2 others Thank this. -
So far so good. Just passing through Flagstaff.

Ain’t that the #### truth!

Frank, you would complain if you took a bite, and got A+, instead of A-. Just say'in.....

East or West? I was headed east aiming for Holbrook but the two hour delay getting through Flagstaff stopped me short.

I don’t like spending 4 nights in a row IN the truck…. I had off Sunday and Monday this week. Went to Louisville Kentucky on Tuesday, back to NC on Wednesday. I’ll sleep at home tonight and then to Indiana tomorrow then back to NC on Friday….have off Saturday and then I’ll work Sunday. I only do that about once a month though…
I ain’t working anywhere where I ‘earn’ days off. I earn money.Speed_Drums, Lonesome, JoeyJunk and 2 others Thank this. -
East as well. And also got caught in that mess. I’m now camping out at Sky City at the 102 in NM.
