Recent graduate from NJ. Looking at CRST. Possible refresher training in January & then would need a team driver after training for a month. Driving out there in my truck vs. a bus.

Winsor's in Linden. 59 but don't feel that old!! "Retired" engineer. 21 days is OK & seems to be the norm. I like the 20/10 plan but don't have details as to how to find 2 others. Have to ask more questions. Run out of Carlisle vs. NJ terminal (Bordentown?) Carlisle is far for me but..... NON-SMOKER.

married? kids? im only asking cause lots of people read here, and you just may never no what u find online, im not going to crst.. no way!, i work for watkins shepard, we have a terminal in sayreville right off main st extention..

Married 34 years with 3 kids in their 20's. I drive a straight truck for my church foodbank from time to time. I've read bad and good things about CRST and also USXpress & Covenant but gotta start somewhere. My first choice was Schneider and they are local but they don't hire trainees anymore. My friend works for them after he left Werner. We both worked with pharmaceuticals until we got downsized. I operated heavy equipment in the military.
Never heard of Watkins Shepard. Will look them up. Sayreville, NJ? Do they hire trainees?
What other companies do you recommend? Swift--I heard bad things. CR England the same. TransAm???
Are you an owner operator?
My trucking school could get me a job locally but without any additional training. Sounds hazardous to me!!!! Got all the endorsements but no job yet.
thanks for the emailskickin chicken Thanks this. -
Applied to Watkins Shepard but have not heard from them & their phones are always busy. Anyone have a phone # for them that is not continually busy?
kickin chicken Thanks this. -
Got through to WS. Their phone # had 1 digit wrong. They were very nice to talk to (Sandy). I'd have to go through school again since I graduated > 60 days ago. Oh well. Don't want to do that.kickin chicken Thanks this.
