    After talking to some people in the office today it sounds like life in omaha sucked this last weekend with no power for a lot of people ...I live close to the airport and they had 96 mph winds , still can't believe I had no damage but I don't like a hot house...a cold house ...spoiled food or warm beer or a panicked gf when I'm 1000 miles from home .
    A 16hp 12000 watt generator had been ordered .

    Natural gas or gasoline? I have an 8000 watt at home it handles everything but the air conditioning. Generac brand the auto start is the berries.

    We have a 20K Kohler on propane. In ‘18 when bought the house it already had the transfer switch and wiring going to a concrete pad. Invested about $7300 for this new Kohler unit and it handles everything easily. Power goes out and about 15 seconds later it’s back on. Worth every penny when you consider peace of mind.

    It will run on gas or propane , I probably bought way more than I need but better that way than not enough .

    So glad that I'm heading back to Omaha. This trip has done nothing but suck since I left out Saturday.
