...For those traveling/overnighting there, you should know that currently the entire middle of the parking lot is torn up, except for the very back (and for those who never knew, there actually is a back way in and out of that lot; you'll most likely have to use it now to exit after fueling), and they're down to three working pumps. Not sure how long the work will last, and/or if the work will expand to the rest of the lot--Lord knows it needs to, and from what I was told it's also in Love's corporate's plans. Perhaps their time has finally come. I'll see if I can get more detailed info next time I'm over that way.
The Beacon is still open for business, by the way--but it won't be easy snaking back there to get to it from the main entry with all the work going on. Your best bet is to enter the back way. (If you're exiting off the 90, go to the first light past the truck entry to 60th Street; turn right at the light, then the next right at 9th Ave just past United Rentals on the corner. The second driveway on 9th Ave will be the back way in--its not signed, though.)
Heads Up Regarding Love's in Sioux Falls SD...

That Loves needs to be bulldozed, and rebuilt from ground up.

Yeah, those parking spots aren't coming back.Team818 Thanks this. -
I'm sure SF can get by for a few months while Loves completely rebuilds (and redesigns) that property. It worked in Tacoma WA; it can work here. That said, I'm curious if Love's will try to purchase any of the adjacent land expand their parking if they do. (I saw they did that at Tacoma and a few other places, like Loxley AL about a year or two back).
Crazy as it is, SF is a little lacking on truck stop parking for all the traffic that comes thru here. That said, there's plenty of places around town to hole up for the night where no one will bother you.BeHereNow97, slow.rider and Truckermania Thank this. -
I've used the Cubbys just west of I-29 on 12th Street during blizzards. They've only got a few spaces, truck fuel pumps, a marginal bathroom, and food. Theres a big truck shop across the street with some parking at night too.
