    I prefer to pump oil into the oil galley and prelube the whole system.
    Loosen the lowest plug in the oil pan slowly. Drain any water or coolant off.
    At least pull the fuse for the fuel solenoid. Crank the engine until you have oil pressure on the gauge. Then try to start it.
