Do not understand all you guy's technical talk but can tell you what works. Run a ground wire from the antenna bracket to the truck battery also run the radio ground to the battery. Bypass the the truck body. Always worked well for us.

Now re the the 102 on the riser..I coulda just added a wilson 2000 style extention but i figjred by haven a riser(like the top mast of a coiled antenna)i could make it more tuneable ..You maybe onto something re it just not long enough..I tried searching out a 108" around eastern canada but no such luck..I dont do stateside anymore so shipping of a 108(if i found one)wouldnt make it worth while..
Dont wanna add length to the 102 cause it will be more flippy floppy..
Ill have to research some more when i get my pc working..

I assumed it was..In theory i thought i bad a total of approx 112" of adjustability or there abouts..
No analyzer did show it was to short but didnt make sence.. -
Did all this "go south" after installing the new antenna bracket?

Lol....Well my immune system has been weakend by cancer so i elected to stay in canada cause with covid getting so bad in the usa..Then ontario and quebec gkt so bad and my dispatch offered me a run 2 hrs away from home n back..Home weekends so i couldnt resist..Annnddddd i like it..

Yes and no..Yes there is alot of plastics n such but cab skin,floor,firewall,chassie,door skin aint plastic so thats why im bonding....May not do as much as i like but everything helps..
