Hey all,
can someone send me a picture of their low mount (stinger) 5th wheel that can slide back / forth. I'm trying to understand how the mechanism works and what to look for to confirm if a truck has it or not. Am I looking for the same pin and key setup found on high mount trailers like the picture below?

It works the same as any sliding 5th wheel I have ever seen. Look for the air line and the switch on the dash. Really the only difference is that a stinger fifth wheel sits almost on the ground instead of on top of the frame rail, but it works the same. It does look slightly different without the visible teeth as it is generally a fully forward or fully to the rear fifth wheel.

What is this terrible rumor I hear about your employer running off a bunch of hard working carhaulers? Is there a new bean counter in town that doesn’t fully understand the ego, of us carhaulers? We ain’t taking no BS!
