I'm with Challenger now, they pay 45cents plus 4 cents incentives and drops picks delays 4% vacation. for the past two months, im running about 1800 miles per week (4.5-5days), average paying around $900 after taxes, not too bad i guess . their equipments are really good, and they really care about safety, which i think is really good for a new driver to learn.
another benefit is ppl from indeed started to contact me when i updated my resume online, there are a few offers are actually really good. but my plans is to get my own truck soon, and most likely to start with challenger too. I talked to some o/o in the yard. some of them are new to challenger too, one dude had 12 years experiences and just bought his own truck, he actually had an offer from a broker, very good dedicate run. but the insurance is too much, so his broker asked him to come to challenger for a bit, just to get their insurance record.
anyway, overall i would suggest new drivers come to challenger, they have their training school too.

~$900 after tax is what we all were making 10 years ago, so .. hope you're happy. Challenger, who is happy to take that 4% VAC pay and deduct it from your CPM. Yes, there was a time when VAC pay was over and above the pay rate, but nowadays thanks to some clever ######## in government who took some solid bribes from corporations, the VAC pay is deducted from your hourly wage or CPM what have you. Wage theft (yet legal), thanks Challenger! But they got new equipment and really care about the drivers! So it's ALL GOOD!! GOOOO CHALLANGER WE GO THE DISTANCE!!

He's only running 1800 miles a week and clearing $900 after taxes.Thats 50 cpm after taxes. If you did that 10 years ago you had to run more than 1800 miles a week.

Stay away from owning a truck until you at least get 3 years under your belt. Ive met so many drivers who got into a lease or a o/o out right purchase of a truck and so many are miserable or barely making any money and working like dogs. Be careful bro!

If he's running 1800 miles at top rate of .49 CPM, that's $882 gross, plus 4% VAC, that's $917 gross pay PRE tax. Then they take him down for about 25% and he goes home with a bag of donuts and a six-pack. Both you and Phantom Trucker need to go back to school. OP needs to clarify how exactly he NETS $900 from 1800 miles at .49 CPM.

Why so little miles, has the industry changed in 2021? I was getting 2500+ miles weekly at HL in 19&20.

Maybe thats all the miles he wants to run.CMF has plenty of miles if you want them. Heck I only run 1700 a week and thats my choice. It's not always about more miles. Why run more miles if you don't have to. Work smarter not harder.

How much do you boneheads think each pick/drop, border cross pay? $15-30 at best. I have already factored in the .4 cent CPM "incentive", which btw is just another example of wage theft. That .4 cents already belongs to him, they just dangle it in front of him like a carrot on a stick to keep him chasin'. This is bloody cruel, and they laugh. I know the boardroom ########, they know they are thieving and disrespecting drivers and nothing gets done because majority of you aren't unionized and they can #### you around as much as they like.

Back on point, things like delay pay doesn't factor into normal pay schedule. So now, theoretically OP can be making an extra $60/$75 let's assume. Total Gross $992, and then Ottawa rape of 25% puts the man at around $650 take home. I'd like to see OP post his paystub.
