It's your history. Doubt it's any video's they have. Knight see's that you have this particular habit of working 4 month's, and then deciding it's not for you, and it's happened numerous times. I wouldn't hire you, even with a perfect driving record.

    #### just go buy a $2000 clunker put some lights and flags on and go drive behind an oversized hauling one.

Dudes are making more than the guy driving the turbine.

Have you thought about working for a temp. Company? Another possibility is to work in the agriculture industry. I used to work with a guy that followed the harvest out west when he was out of high school. There probably are companies that do that yet. He ran a combine but they need guys to transport the equipment along with running tractors and combines. It's just a different look at things for a job for a few months.
    I'm sure you'll get a job somewhere.

I can remember my uncle Tracy that put in 40 years at Holland before USF and Jello bought them out.
Handle on the CB used to be Shoe for a holland outfit , he ended his career sitting on a 100 acres , and a pole barn full of antique tractors , I'd have to agree either the old hands did better or property is way to expensive in the last 20 year's.

I think I remember "Shoe". Him and a bunch of other Holland drivers all ran together at night up Hy.41. Their trucks were turned up a bit, Louisville and Sterling Fords and , and always passed me. ( It should be noted, they probably had 8,000 pounds on, while I had 48K)

Yeah ole Tracy was a chain smoking coffee drinker and could talk with my dad for hours at his kitchen table.
Used to clean his Brigadeer out with his garden hose , he was out of the Benton Harbor Mi yard , then South Bend in the last years , Local 7 out of Kalamazoo handled there buisness.

If that is the case, then I’ve had a good run of doing it with Swift at least 4 times and over 5 times with Knight since 2013. All good things come to an end and maybe that’s how it will be. There are lots of uncertainties going forward on many fronts for a lot of people these days.

Have you checked with Roehl Transport? You won't get rich with them, but they have a program for drivers with experience, but not recent experience. If they accept you, they will bring you in for a refresher for about a week and have you in a truck on your own the day after that.

Another thing you might look into with them is their 7-7 or 14-7 program. With that, you can be out on the road for 7 or 14 days and then be at home for 7 days. It might be a way to keep from getting burned out like you have in the other companies. Just a thought.

Anyway, good luck. I hope you are able to find a home to get behind the wheel again!

    Do
Do they have a 4 month on, 8 month off program? It appears that is how the OP likes to roll! No disrespect to the OP. If that works for him financially.....more power to him!

That's all fine and dandy if I want to continue being a driver in some capacity. But I'm just tossing lucrative, easy-to-obtain alternatives out there. A good chunk of us looking to venture out of this game don't honestly have a viable "afterwards plan". Better to start brainstorming for later as opposed to taking our job-hopping skills to the fast-food world:tongue9:
