I plan on stoping there today. Great showers. Going to get pics of the pink Freightliner cab if it’s still there. That interior is awesome. Has SS on floor, old 80s cab has step up in center. I like that. Keeps all the snow, dirt in front of seats.
What if it Snows?

There is on old wrecker operator in Tupelo who (I'm told on good authority) years ago, went for a gas tanker in the ditch at Blue Springs on old US 78 (about level with where the Toyota plant is on i22). Valving broken off in the ditching and gas running all over. First there were standing around wondering if wiring would short out and blow/burn. He drove up, got out, grabbed an old jacket, and waded thru shoetop gasolene to cover the battery connections with the jacket, reach under and cut the cables. Then told them if they would move their vehicle's, he needed to pull it out using the same way it went in..Wrecker company was Loden & Vinson, his initials ET.4mer trucker, Bud A., LoSt_AgAiN and 9 others Thank this. -

We ran from Starkville (US82) east - west and West Point (US45) Chicago/New Orleans/ north -south.
Only crossed Meridian on US 80 coming back east years later with beans for China Doll in Mobile.
Remember idling in the road going north thru Corinth in the Buford Pusser era. Corinth City Limits/MS/TN state line, joints on both sides for 3/4 mile. Happy drunks strolling across the highway to unite with or go cut someone on the other side. We usually loaded veal calves out of West Point for Rath in Waterloo on friday nights. Get up to Corinth about time they were getting wound up. I have set for 15 minutes for the foot traffic mandering back and forth to slow enough to inch thru. Guys would offer you a beer, and their girls wanted to know where you were going. Down home, it was...Bud A., LoSt_AgAiN, dwells40 and 6 others Thank this.
