BillyBob’s Alligator eatery has great everything. But don’t accept a driving position from BillyBob. His drivers disappear. Into thin air? Nobody knows?

@Dockbumper scratch out question #5 you answered that in some of your previous posts on this forum that I found. Could use some help on the other questions though when you get some time. Especially on the fueling at Love's enough to get their unlimited showers question.

    1. Loves and PFJ. Scheduled stops. Never hit the unlimited shower/drink points at Loves, although Twice in 16 months DHT has struck some sort of deal with Loves and we get an automatic 3 months. In my first 12 months I scored a bit more than $600.00 in points between the two with the "Push for points" promo at PFJ. Used to be about 70% PFJ stops and 30% Loves. Over the last several months it seems to be more 50/50. Almost seems like I am fueling at Loves more frequently than PFJ.......above my pay grade. Their truck, their fuel bill. I fuel wherever they send me.

    3. I think the closest would be our Home Base, Mountain City, TN. Although we do have various drop yards scattered about. Apparently they contract with other Carriers for those services. A recruiter could give you that info.

    4. Yes, there is a per diem option. $67.00 per day, 120 miles or so from home. I am always that far from home. Obviously, it is not over and above your mileage pay, but deducted from your gross.

5.Unless it is the very rare local run, which we are paid for, I've done 4 in 17 months. Or, Maybe the rare swap to get a driver home for hometime. 600-800 bare minimum to 1800-2200. Their advertised 1400-1600 avg. length of haul has seemed to hold true.

    6. 68 mph.

I will post my last 30 days mileage shortly.

Long story short. DHT checks all of the boxes for me. I'm getting a bit long in the tooth and have been given NO REASON to look elsewhere. I am hanging up the keys in June of 2025. I plan on hanging them up at the DHT Terminal. Good luck!

Almost forgot, unlimited showers are NOT a priority for me. I take one every 4-6 weeks. I scalp my excess in the parking lot!

Dude gross lol. Yeah the unlimited showers made things easier and I like Love's the best ,but that's good you guys at least fuel there sometimes and recently more often than before. That's good money you posted. I would be 100% happy with that.

Does Danny Herman have a company or independent contractor (Meaning not a mechanic or office personnel) who cleans (and disinfects with actual cleaner) the trucks before a new driver gets in it? I'm big on cleanliness when I first started 2.5 years ago I had such a nasty POS truck that stunk like cigarettes before I got a brand new truck a few months later. I don't know if I could go back to living in a truck that had been smoked in again (you never really get rid of the smell).

Do the forward facing cameras have audio in them?

I have no idea about the cleaning protocol. Mine was ok with a new mattress in plastic, which I have since replaced.

To the best of my knowledge.... Forward video, no audio. That is what the company policy paperwork says. I have no evidence otherwise. I holler profanities and use the Lord's name in vain way too often as I traverse the highways and byways. Nobody....including Jesus has called me out on it. Although, I'm sure Jesus has a file on me that would resemble the NYC phone book. I'll have to see if any of that comes up on judgement day.......probably not..... I'm sure there will be more pressing issues when "the day" rolls around! Lol

I can't imagine any reason why you would need to be tanker endorsed to haul dry van. They are two totally different trailers. Learning the tanker guidelines is still smart, though, since it's good information to know. It doesn't cost much to add it on to your CDL either, at least if you do it at the same time.
