New job US Xpress

well i was told they were not hiring, i live in dfw tx......and now i have an agent for them saying they wont to put me to work...WTF? does anybody know how that works for an agent to hire you to drive for them...????

Hey Bigdan28, hope your experience with USX has been a good one I'm starting my orientation with them on 12/28 in Tunnell Hill Ga. I to have read all kinds of stuff about all kinds of companies you could spend hours on this site reading stuff that will make you want to jump off a bridge. Keep posting here on how your hiring, training, etc. experiences go please as I too am thinking about usx. I read on their website they have tuition assistance now. I would be out of Florida, anyone know how the miles are and do you ever go to the west? Thanks all for any info for a trucking wife looking to start out on her own in this bizz, and be safe out there!

 

well they are now telling me they will hire me now, not sure what changed in the last 2 wks..???? so now it's a toss up between them and kllm...?????? heck i just want to get back out there and get the wheels going again, and get some time back under me....

 

One of their recruiters came to our school yesterday. He said that they have started hiring students again. Said that there had been a bunch of qualified drivers due to some companies going out of business.

 

It seems to me if some companies went out of business leaving qualified drivers unemployed there would be a need for less students not more . There would be an exception in cases where a bottom feeder company qualified workers had too much sense to work for picked up the old accounts .

 

They said that it was the reason that they stopped adding student drivers for awhile. I do not know exactly when they stopped or when they started.
He just explained that was the reason that he had not been out to our school for a long time.
