Anyone else find that their Garmin now thinks there is a 5ton weight limit on sections of I87 in NY?.

I recently did a software and map update and since then it tries to keep me off I 87. Kept messing around with it and found that if I change vehicle profile weight to 5ton it's OK with I 87.

I know where I am going so I just ignore the reroute attempts but it is annoying nonetheless.

Just wondering if the issue is with the new map update or my particular unit.

I'm in the West, so haven't had that specific problem. But, have had too many odd routing choices to be happy with it. Just stuff that made no sense. Tries to get me to, instead of heading over the overpass and hanging a left to get on an Interstate in the direction I need to go, it wants me to hang a right, get on the Interstate, in the wrong direction, get off at the next exit and basically do a U turn at the exit to get back on the Interstate in the direction I want to go. Also shows exits that aren't closed, are closed and routes me the long way around.
IDK. When I got a Garman, it seemed folks overall thought it better than other brands. But, I find it too often isn't very good at routing me. Fortunately, many of the routes I take, I've taken before so know how to go. But, not all. So, gotta scrutinize routes I haven't taken before.
Basically, disappointed in how much I paid for the performance I get.

    Garmin is junk.
Many false rout restriction, like it was I-80 not for trucks because overpasses in NE posted 40T. Some stupid coder put it in as 40 lbs.
Many NO TRUCKS restriction even the sign is on the residential driveway.

There isn't anything better for standalone GPS. I had an older Rand McNally for years but when they stopped supporting it with updates and the new model get bad reviews for breaking down, Garmin was the only other choice.

Before the map update I had no issue, I'm thinking now that someone screwed up the weight limits with the new map and it thinks I87 is a no go. Considering how busy I 87 is with trucks I thought maybe others have found the same issue.

Thanks, I will have to see if there is a customer service contact to report the issue.

It was fine before the latest map update so hopefully it's a quick and easy update fix.
