I recently passed the written exam here in NJ for General Knowledge, Air Brakes and Combo (I had my CDL in Illinois years ago so the test was more of a review, so I took it without going back to school), and now have my CLP. My question is there any 'local' schools that just train you for the skills (driving) portion? I entered this process thinking I would attend the Schnieder CAP program (paid training). I've now been told that they have suspended that program due to overwhelming demand. Although I may be 'grandfathered' into CAP, I want to make sure I have contingency plans.
