Mudflap App, saving money at the pump.

Can we agree it’s just magic? Thank mud flap and their magic app. It saves so much I sometimes think someone should just wake me up and give me a slap.

 

Bear in mind big name stop at 3$, no discount, mom and pop at 2.85, 5 cent discount means big stop has to offer a card with 20 cent discount minimum to make it worthwhile to go there.

 

The way I figure the true discount is find the lowest cash price.
Pump price is $3.19 with the card $2.65
The nearest cash price $2.69
So really only a .04 discount.
It will vary by area. Sometimes the discount is .30-.40

 

Ehhj, fair enough, usually i find mudflap to be the cheapest around by at least 10 cents then mudflap on top of that, since i probably already would have bought there, my calculated $ saved is only the mudflap discount.

 

It's beating WEX FleetOne right now in every aspect by far, except coverage. You really have to plan your fuel stops.

 

I finally get Wex Fleet one and now im gonna have to change again. lol

Could this be used as a fleet you think? Most credit card companies wont give out 10 cards for one account that i know of anyway. And no way to restrict.

 

Use both!

Not sure how to restrict it, but you only need one card, and link all the accounts to it. Just need a good sized buffer in your case.

WEX has great coverage, and I still use the app to find hidey holes to park at, but I'm really digging Mudflap. First place I used it at beat WEX by $0.17

They also email receipts right away, and you can get a hard copy at the store. And in the app, one button compiles and emails an Excel sheet to you with jurisdiction, volume, price, etc.

 

I just fueled up here and saved $66 on 121 gallons.

 

I've had the app for awhile, studying things before putting it to use, now I'm ready. So do you go inside to get the code or do you get it on the app and take it inside? Are places familiar with the procedure?
