Like I said earlier, I'd just quit and tell them why I am quitting the company.

It's one thing for them to pay you HHG miles or Zip to Zip or whatever it is and let you try to get there as close as you can to those miles, but if they designate a route then they already know what the actual miles are and they have told you that these are the exact miles that you will drive. The only appropriate answer to that is: Fine, pay me those miles!

In response to the novel you posted .. the only planning dept I work in is my own.. How I route myself is strictly up to me .. but this thread is about you not me..
What I got out of your novel was growing a pair and standing up for yourself... well the way I see it you should of grew a pair run the route you planned out
Or run it the way you were told by your dispatcher.. pretty F...ing simple
But your.turned your emotional drama in to 7 pages of you crying about how you feel your getting screwed...
You should take your own advice & grow a pair

Lol Seven pages all mine? I have like five posts here, answering questions mostly. I posted it originally to ask if any other drivers had had this situation arise and how they handled it. Yes, I will always stand up for myself. That’s how I live my life. Sorry if that rubs you the wrong way.

Sounds like just find a different company that pays by the hub mile. (What the dash says). Whereabouts are you from?

So what are the zip codes? Maybe we can find you a shorter route closer to the actual miles.

Geeze Louise driver. Stop crying in your beer. You're working for a micromanaging mega. That was clear from getting a phone call about where you were driving. So either suck it up and keep being micromanaged. Or go to a company that let's you run your truck.

I’m done here. No more follow up, i’ll just say I learned a lot from this thread. Basically there’s some drivers out there that are OK with being ripped off, and there’s some that aren’t. Lol well I’m one that’s not. And that’s just how it is.

    over and out! Lol

If you’re still working there tomorrow, you’re a lot closer to the first kind then the second.

Just got done delivering a load an hour ago. Here’s my dilemma with that. I’ve got three years experience. This is my second job. I’ve been here six months. Got to do a year because I don’t want to get labeled a job hopper. So I’m gonna stick it out for four more months and then start looking and within two months after that I should be able to land something decent.

it’s just a pet peeve of mine. I know how slight of hand works. I know how a few dollars here and a few dollars there adds up to a huge sum of money after a year. Review off on some detention pay here, don’t pay a layover day here and there, have you do a reset while you’re out of town on the road and don’t pay you for it, short 100 miles on the thousand mile load, it adds up to thousands and thousands of dollars. I can’t stick with a company that does that,
I’m out! Can’t discuss this anymore. It’s pissing everyone off now.
