I love the idea of getting a local LTL job for a 3rd shift. I'd have to tell my girl she's not getting a warm body at night- I love being by myself driving, when no one's on the road. And the best part is not going to the communists every morning at 7:20.
Is it tuff to get loads after 4 pm or on weekends?

The risk involved in that last sentence usually far outweighs the rewards. But, who am I to crush your dreams. Lots of people have done it. I have found that one truck/one trailer is all I'll ever want. Plenty of income for most anyone, plenty of freedom, but not as easy as just buying a truck.

get a van, get it wrapped and go through their intake program. -
The poster of this thread posted something like "all I have to do is X, and then I'll be set."
This is not a mindset that has any chance of success as a one man business, especially as a truckload carrier.tarmadilo Thanks this. -
