    I rmember seeing somewhere that the chopper alone was $50,000. and indeed, they should be held responsible for the expense.

    I think there were two choppers and the military was trying to scramble another two out of Fort Carson.
    Or it might have been the CO National Guard out of Denver.

    In addition the many volunteers, fire and ems and others out looking.

    Serious dollars need to be gotten here to stop this type of activity.

    Yes, and no matter what they pay, they will have gotten off easy: What if someone had *really* needed those services while they were occupied on tis wild goose chase?

    A guy I know from Fort Collins told me his wife knows the boys from that family.

    And yes the parents are the freaks that the media has made them out to be.

    I also watched one of the wife swaps they did on TV. Good lord........ what a train wreck.

    At least these idiots got a little jail time. Not near enough though. And they will never pay any real money back. No felons ever do. After a few years of good behavior they will be forgiven. The big fines these judges impose are just for show. 95% are never collected.
