My plan is to tell new employer I’m giving 2 weeks notice. But may well just take a well deserved 2 week vacation instead.

    Lonesome and Lostmykey Thank this.

Relax, I never met a company that wanted to keep a pissed off driver in their truck.

Always a bad idea, all sorts of stuff you can mess with, ever hear the expression there's always an open scale?

Yeah, that’s what I would do; I’d turn the trk in for my 2 week vacation and then give them my notice. That should satisfy everyone and no worry about getting screwed.

I worked it out to where I had 3 weeks. Gave employer 2 weeks, worked them, and then had a week before new job started.

What I have done in the past is tell them I have a family emergency, I'm coming home where do you want your truck. Once home wait till you get your checks, then tell them you wont be able to come back. Removes the time the can mess with your money, DAC and so on.
