I feel sorry for all of the drivers that got shafted the way they did by the upper management. Leaving drivers stranded all over the US right before Christmas is Bull@*&^. As bad as I feel for the drivers and there families....we need more companies that are barely hanging on to fail.... there is a huge overcapicity of trucks on the road and until the herd thins even more the freight volumes and rates will stay low. Just my .02

I guess I can say that another bottom feeder that closed their doors last month New Rising Fenix did right by their drivers and got them back to the yard and home unlike Doug Pielsticker of Arrow! What a freaking low life and I hope everyone of you Arrow drivers and office personnel sue HIM for every red cent that bottom feeder has!

You know they will reopen after the first of the year, or in a year or two and have those same people working there. They need the paper shredders. So they can claim they "forgot" to pay this or that.

It makes me happy to see so many members of this forum coming together to help out the Arrow drivers in need. It is also good to see the big companies, i have seen Swift and Schnidier mentioned in this theread, also helping.

It doesn't matter if we agree with each other or not about things, when one of us is in need therre are many willing to help out.

It shows me that there are still good people left in this world.

I hope that all those that needed help are home with thier loved ones for the holidays.

Merry Christmas to all and I hope that we all have a happy and prosperous nerw Year.

Well, I guess the question is...did the owners have two 50 ft yachts, two beach houses and a New York apartment. Four Mercedes Benz's, a mistress in Argentina. Were they robbing their drivers to pay for their extravagant lifestyles? I don't know. But my guess is this...the financial troubles started with low paying freight. Then a vicious circle of debt and not enough revenue to service the debt. Whatever you think...I guarantee you there were and will be a lot of sleepless nights for the owners. Nobody intentionally runs a company into the ground. Yea sometimes we like to think the owner did this on purpose and screwed the poor drivers but the owner probably tried and tried to make things work and then finally the hammer fell. And that hammer was held by the people that the company owed money to. Hey, when comdata says "no more fuel for you boys", you are done!

The problems is, these bottom feeders do every thing they can to screw the drive just to turn a profit.. My question is what did they do with the payments that the lease drivers were paying every week for their trucks? From the sounds of one poster, they were not making payments on those trucks.. Sounds to me like a lot of mismanagement, at the expense of their drivers.. I hope someone opens up an investigation, and uncovers all that cause this to happen.. If they find gross mismanagement, then they need to have the book thrown at them.. My thoughts and prayers go out to the drivers and their families, especially this holiday season.. I would also like to say thanks to the many drivers on this forum, and across the country who are going out of their way to see to it that these drivers get home safely to their families..

Good post, bobbrazil, but comdata got rid of Arrow over a year ago because of non-payment of their bill. They went to TCH after that.

I know, as I worked for Arrow up until October of this year.
I went to a pay website and looked up their financial dealings and saw the writing on the wall, and said adios! Glad I did while their paychecks were still good!

I'm sure the owners didn't want it to be that way either but it still wasn't handled properly, regardless of the circumstances. It's winter and it's Christmas. The old credit card dried up on them and perhaps they were betting on getting the loan they needed to continue operations and they never thought about, what if we don't get the funds.

Like I said, it's not the fact that they went outta biz, it happens. It's the screwing they put on the drivers that was mismanaged. There's no excuse for it. Obviously they had no funds to even fuel the trucks or even complete deliveries. Think about all the shippers that got screwed too.

We all know the companies only care about the customers, drivers be ######. They also screwed their bread n butter too. Somebody surely knew it was coming yet they didn't have a plan b. Shame on them!

I've been reading the comments posted on Tulsa World, and the answer to your question is, while not quite that bad, they were definately mismanaging the company, if even HALF of what has been said there is true.

I'm hoping an Arrow driver will get on here and tell us exactly what has happened the last several weeks. Tell us everything from how maintaince was or had been performed, on the road repairs, how were they handled, exactly how many pay checks were bounced and did they let you get any advances. If you were an L/P do you know how many payments made it through and those of you having child support payments taken out of your pay were these being sent to your home state?

If you can Please PM me if you have the posts if not get with a mod to send me your Email as I would like to talk about what really happened.

    Good luck
