Ok, Chinatown pointed me in this direction, so I'm going to weigh in here.
From what I'm gathering here, you live in New Hampshire, but you've been running a business for the last few years, partner burned it to the ground with chemical accelerant (alcohol and drugs).
You don't want to leave New Hampshire, but no one is touching you from up there due to lacking work history.
    I'm I understanding this correctly?

Transport America’s “new cdl student “ program doesn’t hire from FL according to their map.

work history was prime and Wilson’s school issue. Stevens has just been flaky and swift doesn’t want more ne drivers right now.
So yes that’s pretty much it.
I could probably get the money to go to school in vt and get the cdl but I’m afraid I’d still be screwed for having retired early and having no work history.

    Here's a weird thought...
Could you just get a random job for a few months to establish some sort of work history?

I asked the Wilson guy that and he said it wouldn’t be enough.

Ok, so here's what I did, but I'm in a different boat then you.
I went through RVescapees and fully changed my address and CDL. it worked, wasn't cheap, but it fixed some of the nomad issues that I had been having.
If I'm understanding what you want to do, you want to use a different address, but stay where you are. But if your using an address to get hired, the job is going to be near that address. They are eventually going to want you to change the address on the CDL. I was trying to get a job driving in Florida and they wanted me to get a Florida CDL before they offered me a job.

Did you tell the company you were doing that? Like if I changed to FL I could probably get into the Swift Academy. Or not—I don’t even know any more.
All these companies #####ing that they need drivers and I’m over here going “hey! I’m old (50) so I’m more patient and cautious and I prefer being alone—like I won’t talk to anyone for a week and don’t miss it—I’m well acquainted with living out of a small space, planning bathroom and shower stuff, so that wouldn’t be a shock...I don’t drink or anything, never speed, no accidents...I mean I’m probably too vanilla!”...and nothin. lol

    thanks man.
