Fuel hauler paying by the hour

Umm if your talking about southern California they don't get paid by the load, it's by the hour always has been. They did make a new tier system where the new hires don't make nearly what the old timers do.

 

Just wondering heard Arco drivers in Phoenix Arizona are going on load pay. It probably has something to do with the buy out of Western Refining

 

Might work for the guys out in phoenix, never gonna fly in socal. They would lose driver by the droves, I can only think of 2 carriers who pay that way and one always closes up shop every now and again. Just way too much traffic and others who pay by the hour with OT too work.

 

Do you know if Tesoro has terminals other than Arco. Is Tesoro union in cali

 

I'm not shure and yes they are union.

 

Thanks for the info. I am asking because Tesoro bought out the company I work for (Western Refining) just trying to get an Idea on what their plans for us may be,other than Arco terminals they dont seem to have any others.

 

So i should just stay with city bus driving at $30 an hr?
