I once tried to go straight thru, Seattle to Denver only stopping once for fuel. Made it as far as Parley's, I was EB, trooper was WB, I was doing 80 in a 65, saw his brake lights come on, then his overheads, thankfully the RA was right there and I dropped in and parked behind another flatbed (I was hauling an empty chassis, but he didn't know it).

This wasnt me, but the last time I went with my buddy. We left Indianapolis, drove 12 hours out to nj, dropped some blazer roofs to the chevy plant there. He turned around and came on back. I stayed up with him and i was tireeedd. So i couldnt imagine how he was. Before we left, when i got up in the truck he ask me, is that what im wearing? I thought thats a weird ? but i told him yeah. I was in pants and a tshirt. On the way back I started freezing, finally I ask him if his heats broke. He then told me the ac was on, mind you its feburary. The cold air helps him stay awake. man that was a cold ride back. he did turn the ac off for me though:biggrin_25523:

Don't remember the mileage but a few years ago trying to get home for christmas I left San Antonio Texas drove straight through to Indianapolis. Not to mention it was a blizzard all the way from Arkansas home. That was my longest but I made it.

Forgot about one me,dad, and grandpa did on the harley's one year. We went up in Canada and left for home from the northern part of Ontario back to the house east of Indy in about 30 some hours that included a boat ride back into Michigan. Man my cheeks was sore for a month after that!

Monday morning, Longbeach CA, I snap a photo of the Pacific Ocean, Email it to my old man, then roll over to Long Beach Airport, pick up a Jet engine, secure it, throw a tarp on it, and boogie.

Thursday morning about 8am, I have allready unloaded at McGuire AFB, and am sitting at the Jersey shore, snapped a photo of the Atlantic and sent it to my old man.

He calls me and tells me im a crazy #-hole

Another was I loaded out of Bellvue Pa with a load of box car floor cross members, crashed in the truck all night because I had already been running really hard, then 5am the next day I pulled out headed to Wichita Ks. 10 am the next day when the agent on the load called me to ask me where I was I told him I was sitting in a walmart parking lot in Wichita fixing to look for a load. He was shocked that I was empty because I had moved the last 3 loads for him, and hadnt got a lot of sleep because all of them were hot.

I just finished a stretch last week of Fort Dodge, Ia to San antonio, tx. The rest of the week was through nebraska to wisconsic south into indiana, and back to omaha. 4300 miles total in 7 days, but the worst day was the first (northern ia, to southern tx.) Not a week I am proud of, but was what I had to do to keep my job....

This was many years ago. Well about ten. Friday morning-10am; unload (by hand) a 53 footer full of tires in Union City, CA.(San Jose/Oakland area). Friday evening-4pm; pick-up a load of computer software in West Sacramento, CA. Early am on Sunday take a four hour power nap in Council Bluffs, IA. Rolling again by the time the sun comes up. Monday morning-6am; bumping the dock in Woburn, MA. Empty by 9am (hence the oportunity for another power nap). Monday 1pm; loading junk mailers in East Hartford, CT. (four stops, one in Pittsbrg, PA., Clev/Akron/Canton). Go to Findlay, Oh. for another load of tires before 4pm (because they lock the doors at 4), and head back to Union City, CA. by Friday at 10am. Repeat for about 2 months straight. You asked. Yes, solo. If memory serves me right, it was about 6350 miles. And, no. It was not possible to log. But, they tolerated my trickery for some rea$on.
