Just purchased a TND750 on Ebay to replace my TND510. Have had the 510 hardwired in for several years. Wondering if the power connector is going to work on the 750? I hate cigarette lighter coily cables strung all over the dash.

Nope and yes, cig plug to base is proprietary, but higher output, but the cord is long enough and straight that if you hid a dedicated cig plug in your dash it would work quite well.

Alternately you can plug in a micro-c in straight from a 2.1 amp usb though i dont like that one, charge is slower and puts a cord where you could bump it

    w9l Thanks this.

Hmmm. Well if it is not a stupid coily cord I guess I could hardwire a cig lighter socket inside the dash and plug it in and tape it together. I have done that before and it works it just seems cobbled to me. Even though i would be the only one aware of it.... i bought hardwire kits off ebay for my Uniden thingy and my Tnd510 then kept oe vit lighter cords in case i needed to jump in a different ride. My 510 has a mini usb connection to cord. As to charging slow I always have left mine plugged in and never played attention to that. I think a failed battery was the main demise of my 510 in the end.
