My husband and I have the 2010 Pro Star with Shaffer and I disagree, anytime we shut down and run the Espar heater many times we wake up to turn off. Gets to hot in the sleep. Maybe you should have yours checked. Keeps it very cool too. I was actually surprised it worked so well.
Talked to a Crete driver about his truck..

The Espar heater has been around since the 80's as far as I knew. I remember reading ads for them in Overdrive magazine. Trucking companies didn't buy them. Evidently they still don't. They could spend a little up front to save a lot in the future.

Doesnt deliver till tuesday morning and i have to say they got me home christmad eve for 4 and a half days before i head back out.I am so glad to be with a company that is not having no financial problems. My friend i went to school with went to arrow. Now hes starting at prime next monday and has to go back out with a trainer after being out on his own for 5 months. They trade their trucks at 500,000, you should not have it very long!!

i figure another 4 months

I believe they moved this up to 600,000 due to the economy. They take them back earlier only if there are serious mechanical issues.
Crete is one of the better companies out there. They always got me home when requested. -
The Century I was in for the last 3-1/2 years (310XX) had about 467K on it when some douchebag tore the hood off of it and did a hit & run on me while I was parked. I'd mentioned to the shop in Wilmer about how I should be close to getting a new truck earlier that month, and the woman at the parts counter said that she hadn't seen one traded in that had less than 550K on it.
The Century they put me in when mine was being repaired (300XX) had 528K on it, and I ran it to about 536K before I made enough noise for them to give me a new truck. I was the 9th person to be issued this truck, and it was a POS! No engine power, interior had been torn up - no one had taken care of it, it just got passed around.
I had my first new Century (259XX) for 6 years, and put 711K on it before they made me get out of it and into another new Century (the one that got the hood torn off).
I went to get a glass of Coke just now, and I was thinking while I went to the kitchen -- the new Int'l is the 6th truck I've been in with Crete. I had a mid-roof FLD when I first started for about a year, then into a hand-me-down Century (238XX) for about a year, then 259XX for 6 years, 310XX for 3-1/2 years, 300XX for a month, and now the new Int'l.
Honestly, the only thing I don't like about the new Int'l is that it is painted Dodger blue - which is anathema to a loyal St. Louis Cardinals fan like myself!

I was lucky and got an International right put of pre-qual with less than 10k on it........and i can report that the no idle a/c works just fine...i'm currently in tampa!! and they are reprogramming all the internationals to up the idle time.

My old trainer told me that his step-dad won "driver of the year" and they gave him a Black cherry Classic Freightliner to drive. Nice huh?
