Marten is a good place to work if you are willing to act like a professional. Not cry about how un-fair this or that is and do the job for which you where hired to do. That job is to drive the truck in a safe and legal manner. If you choose to run illegal. Thats on you. Not one time has anyone ever told me I "have " to run illegal. I tell them when I can have it there. It will be ASAP and legal. I run 2800 a week. I find no problems with there set del times.

Like I said before, O/O are treated differently. I NEVER ever had a week over 2400 miles and one week drove 800 miles and had two restarts, like I needed them. I would sit in yards and watch the O/O come in and unload, load while I and other company drivers sat for days. Lets keep our apples and oranges straight.
-
You need to go back and re-read that post. I said I run it LIKE and O/O. AS IF I owned the truck. I happen to be a company driver.
-
Marten sucks beyond all comprehension! Nobody there knows what they are doing. Anyone who tells you they are getting more than 2200 miles a week is a flat-out liar or recruiter!
-
Marten brokers out alot of their loads while you sit and do nothing. They are interested in making money for the executives: not you!
-
I do not recruit nor do I lie. Any one who isn't getting 2500 a week or better sucks at there job. Part of the problem with this industry is to many wanna-bes in it. Thats ok thou. Come next summer that will be fixed.

Kabar,What happens next summer
-
You are full of it Kabar. I was driver of the year for a 700 truck company in 2001 did more miles than anyone in the company and I don't do anything different now and I can't get 2500 miles a week or better at Marten. They are putting too much long distance freight on the rail and there is too much wait time between the short loads that don't go on the rail.
-
Now I do agree about the rail freight. That dose bug me but it doesn't affect my miles.

CSA 2010. Going to force a whole lot of wanna-bes out of the industry.
