I have an manual 10 speed transmission and when I don't use it for more than couple a days the split box valve gets stuck. After a lot of down and up shifting the spliter is working. Does anyone knows what the problem?

I'm sure that someone who's an expert will chime in soon enough but my own idea would be the filter regulator or the slave cylinder itself.

Probably dry piston seals on the piston, depending on year and model.

So You are missing the shifts then when going from lo-high or high -lo? Or is this just you fiddling with it in neutral and not moving when you arent supposed to do do that?

What model transmission? Probably need range cylinder kit and clean real good. Plus make sure contaminants are not getting into your air system.

When it's cold it shifts 1 thru 5. When I try to go hi on 6 doesn't work. Them I flip the hi-low switch until I hear that click down in the the transmission and it works just fine after

Before I bought a kit i’d try just changing the air filter. You only have to drop a couple psi inlet pressure at the shift solenoid before it won’t shift right. New filter may cure it.
