no one has any inventory…. New or used.

Any 1/2 assed used truck with 500K miles is gonnna be 75-80K. Prices are ridiculous right now……

Makes me wonder what somebody would give me for my 1999 ELD exempt truck. If it was a hood it'd be gold for sure but it's not trashed and in good shape for a 22 year old truck. Sometimes I think it would be great to cash out but then I think I'd hate it after a while at which point good luck finding another rig to start over again...

Why not put it online and test the waters? You'd have a solid idea what you could get for it then.

Whatever you do is stay away from a foreign trucking company they will be all nice and cuddly but will use you like a slave

I was with Landstar 8 years, it is a good company you just got to find and and stay in good faith with agents that have the top dollar freight. Once your established and they can depend on you even when they’re in a jam you won’t have to look at that load board. Just my opinion !

You want to buy it? I'd have to work a real job which would be a challenge stepping down to taking orders being that I've been the boss for 10+ years now. Only way I'd consider it is if it would pay off the mortgage when added in with what savings I have. I don't see that happening but you never know...

I would recommend JRV Logistics Inc. Small company, 35 trucks or so. Can be dispatched or can self-dispatch. Only owner operators, no company trucks. 85% with your trailer, 80% with their trailer, that includes maintenance on the trailer and NO ADDITIONAL weekly fees for the trailer! Total weekly fees are $255. Paid every Friday. NASTC fuel card for big savings on fuel.

Sounds good but that’s a pretty small company and all about pushing paper. Companies like that pop up and close down overnight with any kind of fluctuation in the rates. I’d be nervous buying a new truck now at over $200,000 and going with a company that small. Plus, they’re all paper.
