    I dont think I'm old yet... But I can drive a 5 × 4... Thats what I learned to drive on. Its not that hard, most the time you only need 2 of the auxiliary box ranges anyway.

    I drove an excavator, a big one, for about 3 weeks lol.
    Everyone was like,"Do you have any idea how to operate that?"

    I was like," If it has wheels, levers, sticks, or tracks, I can drive it." LOL

    Take an excavator operator and put him in a Case 580 backhoe once.

    Thats kinda how I am aswell... It might take me a few hours to figure it all out if its something ive never encountered... But I WILL figure it out. Lol

    Ever drove a hydrostatic drive swather? Now those things can be squirrely as all hell!!! First time I got in one I almost ran over my boss as he was climbing off the machine. Think I was 14 at the time.

    Get an operator that is used to Catapillar controls and put him in a machine with Deere controls. It wont take long before he will be thinkimg of quiting... Lol

    Well now there in lies the $5 question. Case controls or JD controls?

    It's just like in Ghostbusters. You cannot cross the streams lmfao.

    If I get into a machine with JD controls I feel like I need to put my right hand on the left joystick, and my left hand on the right joystick... But trying to actually do that doesnt work very well... Lol

    Nope my ankles and heels of my feet hurt to walk on. Otherwise, I have seat cushins I will install when I get rid of the pesky carriage bolts that have no way to stop turning. Carriage bolts should mean jail for the idiots whom think they are a good idea on antique equipment. Maybe just a week.

    I have a loose fender to deal with. Then try to drill out two 25/32" holes for helicoil that might break my wrists when the drill grabs. Wishing I had a magnetic drill.

    After that is done to see if the radiator will hold coolant and go try and figure out how to reattach the front end loader.

    Easy. Just need to get over the pain of walking

    Some equipment have a lever. It switches between jd & cat controls. Read about it in one of the magazines at 7-11.
