Well today was rather busy. I didn't get to email my tuner till just now. I have a second odd question. Do anyone know if the RTLO and RTLOF are interchangeable? Like if I have and RTLO and wanted to convert it over to the forward shift tower. I only ask this if I go the manual route and then maybe in the next 10 years end up changing it over to a DT530.
I would like the keep the stick as far forward no to loose my center console like I see with the DT466s and their transmissions. I also don't want to get an RTLOF right off the bat and have to cut a hole in my floor plate.
Frankly I'm going home this weekend and I'll going to start pulling measurements. So the difference between the two may not matter and the current hole for the ES53 may not line up with the RTLO's shifter in the first place anyways. I'm just not sure yet. (Though I think it does) But if anyone has experience I would love to hear it.
Also would you all say a hydraulic clutch pedal would be worth it?
New here with an international 4700.

I have used a couple of the eaton easy pedal advantage clutches. I don't believe that converting to hydraulics would be necessary. They are as advertised. And they don't cost any extra.
Absolution Thanks this. -
Just out of curiosity, What clutch did you end up using on yours?
Do you remember what pilot bearing you used?Last edited: Oct 5, 2021

No clutch brake set up is normally a single disc clutch.
Double disc clutches normally have a clutch brake.
There were some large single plate clutch exceptions.
Is the surface on your trans front bearing cover flat? -
I run a clutch brake, I use a 14” 2 disc clutch. I am using the factory flywheel. I also used a Peterbilt cross member to hold the back of trans.

Edit: Eaton mediums duty website finally loaded the pdf for me this morning. So no I'm seeing the medium duty clutch models. But if you remember what model you use that would be great.Last edited: Oct 6, 2021

So I decided to buy my clutch it's a 109508-11Y.
When choosing the clutch brake is there any reason to buy the torque limiting one vs the quick change? -
Some folks like to install a two piece with clutch replacement. If they fail they are easier to replace.
If they are really better why do new trucks not come with them? The torque limiting ones have some springs in them that reduce shock and wear on the input shaft.
A one piece brake with normal, proper adjustment, can usually last the life of the clutch. None of them hold up to trying to stop the truck mashing the pedal to the floor while the truck is rolling.Absolution Thanks this. -
