Keys haven’t changed much, but now you get a cool fob to lock and unlock your doors in case it’s too much work to use the key.

Yeah, I was at home and you're right, drinking beer, so I wouldn't have been able to move it at night. But your idea of leaving a note is a good one!

At work we have two keys, one for all the Freightliners and one for the Volvos. On my Freightliner the keyways are so loose that I can use the Volvo key to unlock the door and start the engine.

Maybe they unlocked it with a slim jim or locksmith's help, and there was enough air to release the brakes and they moved it with one if their pieces of equipment. Set the brakes, locked it up again and went back to work.

First truck yard I worked we had to pull the keys on Fridays after one was stolen. Half of the line faced directly into the street and the keys were there 24/5.

We carried a screw driver doing the Saturday morning flat check. and would push in the stop cable, open the hood and short two of the wires on this one long terminal strip to engage the starter and drive it in to change the flat, Most of the old doors didn't lock anyway

I once accidentally put my Kenworth key in the front door of my house. The strange part was I turned it, and the house started.

Used the key for my truck to unlock another truck that was the same make and model as mine, the driver was locked out of it

Do you guys use these things? I guess it's easy enough to pry open.

If someone needs me to move my #### while I'm in the store, be it my truck or my POV, I would hope they'd go into the store and make an all-call asking for as much (e.g. will the driver of the yellow Kenworth please come move their truck? Will the driver of the yellow Kenworth please come move their truck? Thank you)... God knows that's a courtesy I'd extend before even remotely considering a plan that involved moving someone else's ####...
