I am wondering if recording a dispatcher on the phone does, indeed, hold up in court in the event of being told to run over hours? (not 1,or2,but way over hours) I have not done this, but I let my dispatch think I was, and, well, they backed off like they were standing in front of a crazed Mike Tyson!!! (LOL)![]()

Bumpy...
When it comes down to it you could have a recording or even a certified letter from your dispatcher telling you to run over hours or overweight, but when you're in the defendant's chair none of it will matter - YOU still made the choice to run illegal.
Despite this, I still don't think you'll find a dispatcher willing to tell you to run illegal while being recorded, so smart move telling them you were.
Just my 2 cents.RickG Thanks this. -
Use the QuallComm when ever possible. It holds all msg for 6 months.

So if you run illegal, and get caught, you tell the cop dispatch made me do it and that will get you out of a ticket, right?

or you can do what hubby did one time. He was out of hours and was told on the qualcomm to keep driving over hours, many hours. he pulled into a weigh station lol, called his dispatcher and said are you sure you want me to drive over my hours? then handed the phone to the officer at the station and the officer listened in. Needless to say, that dispatcher got fired, and the company got a nice fine oooooo
ooooooo, i think that's why the dispatcher got the boot!!!
whatcha think???
