Might want to get some cameras , with enough memory for three days ,
    Or motion activated .

I’d have a dash cam anyway , and maybe one facing the interior from inside the AC vent or something .

One of the recovery drivers I have is a locksmith by training, he can unlock a truck in a minute and have it started in three.

A few trucks that were recovered in the past had the keys either locked in the truck or vanished with the driver.

Once unlocked a 90 something Classic with 2010 Cascadia key. If it was moved in a straight line a construction company could easily have towed it with a piece of equipment after caging it out. Done it on jobsites plenty of times. I don't leave home without 8 cage bolts. Can't say if that'd kick you into driving since ELDs are not something I have to mess with these days.

When you say it kicked you onto driving did it also put you on duty the remainder of the night ?? Speaking of keys about 8 years ago at Kraft foods in Toronto a newer driver got his bills left the waiting room and proceeded to the guard shack with someone else’s truck and the forklift in the trailer .. shortly after they implemented a hand in the keys rule to get loaded lol

Wow, that was really nice of them.

Years ago I stayed at a hotel 6, when I came out in the morning the hotel had my truck towed because they didn't know who it belonged to, and it was in the way....

My phone number stays on the dash, and has a message about my dog enjoying the AC inside. I wouldn't leave my truck overnight anywhere without me inside.

Nope. Wouldn't. Speedometer isn't linked to the wheel by a spinning cable anymore LOL
