I didn't even catch that first time. Too much sticker shock.
Yeah, didn't really happen in the best spot or time but it is what it is. Got it replaced and got rolling. Dumped my 1000 bushel load of beans and got the big girl a bath.

Not all was lost
X2 on @singlescrewshaker
And I've looked into those as well. I need to replace all 4 because they have yellowed, just cheap Amazon led headlights that were in the truck when I bought it. I don't guess they have much issue with the lenses yellowing like the cheap ones do.
Nice load of legal beans you got there.

Hey @clausland , we should start a mobile mechanic service here. There is only one guy here with no competition. I've heard him say business is good. He needs competition......he's the kinda guy that would see you tarping and just keep driving by. He would prolly use some excuse about getting filters or something.. someone like @RGN would know.

I heard when he shows up to do his fix-it thing the first thing he does is kick a guy right in the twins so everything that happens after is less painful.
[edit] I just talked to him, he said he would call back as he was busy filling his ice trays with the tears of broken down truckers so he had some for his fine Whiskey tonight.Last edited: Oct 13, 2021

I didn't want to do it but since Interstate 80 is complete FUBAR right now I'm going to take my chances and run Interstate 70 eastbound into Denver to unload in the morning.
Spent the night in salt lake City at the Sapp Brothers truck stop. Every time I go there the people are so nice and super helpful. I have never had a problem at the sad brothers in SLC or in Nebraska. Love that place.
In other trucking news I just got passed by a second flatbed hauling lumber where there were only two straps on the entire load on each truck. If I did that I'd be placed OOS before getting my bill of lading ready.
While cruising I-25 southbound earlier I saw a pretty neat looking Freightliner Argosy straight truck with what appeared to be a 30 foot flatbed plus another 30 foot flatbed on a dolly out bach and he was hauling lumber too. Cool looking ride.singlescrewshaker, jamespmack, Lostkeys and 11 others Thank this. -
