I find it interesting that he sells " EXPORT " radios then " INFORMS " people that they need to check the laws on them .....
This is what he is CYA'n about .
"Section 302(b) of the Act provides that "[n]o person shall
manufacture, import, sell, offer for sale, or ship devices or home
electronic equipment and systems, or use devices, which fail to comply
with regulations promulgated pursuant to this section." Section
2.803(a)(1) of the Rules provides that "[e]xcept as provided elsewhere
in this section, no person shall sell or lease, or offer for sale or
lease (including advertising for sale or lease), or import, ship or
distribute for the purpose of selling or leasing or offering for sale
or lease, any radio frequency device unless in the case of a device
subject to certification such device has been authorized by the
Commission . . . ." Section 2.815(c) of the Rules provides that "[n]o
person shall manufacture, sell or lease, offer for sale or lease
(including advertising for sale or lease) or import, ship, or
distribute for the purpose of selling or leasing or offering for sale
or lease, any external radio frequency power amplifier or amplifier
kit capable of operation on any frequency below 144 MHz unless the
device has received a grant of type acceptance ."
Like anyone cares .... -
Premo isn't exactly located in Mr.Rodgers neighborhood so watch your arse in there.....I've heard good and bad, most of it good..
There used to be a guy that hung around Baytown that worked mobile out of a van he went by "Shaggy Dog"....Now I have used him and he came off as a pretty straight shooter and knowledgable..

Since I'm new to this CB world I really don't know hardly any places out here in Houston.
-
Sparky in ill ( look up sparky cb shack ) is one of the better places.
Check and see what kind of return/replacement they offer if it goes bad most better places have at least 90 days.
There are 3 choices of radios LEGAL CB ( part 95 ), EXPORT SETS ( ILLEGAL CB RADIOS ) and HAM RADIOS ( part 97 ) each has it's own used and requirements.
in short unless you hold a HAM license true HAM radios are useless to you.
ASK questions of the CBers and HAMS who are on this fotum we all are willing to help.Attached Files:
